Our Reason:

Private Auto Market was born out of frustration with online auto sales. What used to be a simple, hand-shake deal between neighbors has turned into a digital landscape full of no shows, scams, spam, and safety concerns. Dealerships only seem to have cars out of reach for the average person. The average car payment is up to $770 for new vehicles and $531 for used vehicles. At budget car lots you have no idea the history of the car or who brought it in.

We built Private Auto Market to bring real people back together in real spaces and cut out the markups.

Purpose: Empowering Erie’s Local Mobility

Reliable transportation isn’t a luxury—it’s a necessity. Over 80% of Erie County residents rely on personal vehicles for work, childcare, and basic livelihood, yet nearly 19% of local households lack access to a personal vehicle. Traditional dealerships, heavy markups, and predatory financing often place dependable cars out of reach for everyday families.

Private Auto Market (PAM) was built to bridge that gap by creating a safe, transparent, and direct neighbor-to-neighbor marketplace. We hope to make car ownership affordable again.
